Day 1 - Baku Arrival and City Highlights Tour

Welcome to Baku! After airport pickup and hotel check-in, enjoy free time before your panoramic city tour. Visit the solemn Highland Park Alley of Martyrs and admire the National Assembly (Milli Majlis). Marvel at the modern Flame Towers, Baku's tallest skyscrapers. End your day with a stroll along Baku Boulevard, stretching from Freedom Square to the Old City, offering beautiful Caspian Sea views. This tour introduces you to Baku's blend of history and modernity, setting the stage for your Azerbaijani adventure.

Begin your day exploring Baku's flame-inspired sites. Visit Ateshgah, the ancient Fire Worshippers Temple, once a Hindu and Zoroastrian sanctuary. The name "Atash" means fire in Persian, reflecting its spiritual significance. Next, journey to Yanardag, the "Fire Mountain," located 25km north of Baku on the Absheron Peninsula. This natural gas fire has been blazing for centuries, earning its name "Blazing Mountain." In the afternoon, delve into Baku's heart with a tour of the Old City (Inner City), the historical core of Azerbaijan's capital. Wander through narrow alleys, admire ancient structures, and soak in the medieval atmosphere of this UNESCO World Heritage site. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay, reflecting on a day filled with Baku's fiery heritage and timeless history.

After breakfast, embark on a journey to the Shahdag Mountain Resort Complex, Azerbaijan's premier ski destination. Opened in 2012, this modern resort is nestled in the breathtaking Greater Caucasus range, adjacent to Shahdag National Park. Enjoy the crisp mountain air and panoramic views of Azerbaijan's stunning landscapes. Whether you're a ski enthusiast or nature lover, Shahdag offers year-round activities amidst spectacular scenery. Return to Baku in the evening for your overnight stay, with memories of Azerbaijan's alpine beauty.

Start your day with a visit to Gobustan, home to remarkable rock petroglyphs dating back to the 8th millennium BC. This open-air museum offers a fascinating glimpse into prehistoric human activity. Explore the ancient carvings and learn about early settlements in the region. In the afternoon, visit the Bibi-Heybat Mosque, a significant spiritual landmark in Baku. Although the current structure was built in the 1990s, it stands on the site of a centuries-old mosque, blending historical significance with modern architecture. Return to your hotel, reflecting on Azerbaijan's rich cultural heritage spanning millennia.

Begin your final day in Baku with a leisurely breakfast at the hotel. After check-out, prepare for your departure with memories of Azerbaijan's rich culture, ancient history, and modern marvels. Our representative will transfer you to the airport for your return flight. Please note that we provide a single group transfer, typically scheduled after breakfast or around noon to accommodate most flight times. If your flight departs later, you may need to arrange separate transportation. As you leave this captivating city, reflect on your journey through Baku's fiery landscapes, historic sites, and warm hospitality.
